Terramor Farm: Luke & Dana
White Lake, Ontario
We are Luke Sheldrick and Dana Moores and we are organic farmers.
We are working on growing and developing the family business that is Terramor (love the earth) Farm located in White Lake, ON, which has focused on organic produce and garlic for 25 years.
While Luke’s parents (the owners of Terramor) have begun lightening their workload, we are bringing new life to the beautiful farm! What started out as a little side project delivering vegetable boxes to friends, has grown into something that we hope to do for the rest of our lives.
Have a peek at some photos of what we've been up to in preparation for the 2015 season!
This is our favourite farm buddy, Nero!
This is our makeshift nursery, which is a handy home to help crops like tomatoes and peppers grow until it's safe for them to planted outside.
In a couple of weeks, these little guys will be ready to be transplanted to the field. You can't tell yet, but they're going to grow up to be parsley, broccoli, cauliflower, swiss chard, kale, and brussel sprouts.
Baby tomato plants. We love tomatoes!
There's lots of earth, and especially lots of love at Terramor!
These are some of our free-range chickens.
These hard working ladies love their home where they’re free to roam during the day. They get tucked safely inside at night.
Farm fresh eggs!
Back to the veggies! Our garden is 2/3 of an acre, this year we are working on transforming it into permanent raised beds, 100 feet in length!
We just planted snap pea seeds in this row.
This is Paul, Terramor's resident carpenter.
We are just putting the final touches on the outhouse Paul built using boards from an old outhouse on the property.
We're really happy to be growing food, and we can’t wait to share it with our family, friends, and future-friends!
We offer shares of our garden in the form of fresh picked, organic produce for pick-up in Central Ottawa. Visit our site for more details. Thanks for taking the time to learn about our passion! We can't wait to share more with you this growing season.
