It's no secret that I have a serious thing for Jamie Oliver. Did you know that one of his kid's names is Buddy Bear Maurice? Sheeeut, Jamie! Anyway, for Christmas this year, my boyfriend and I decided to make a big batch of Jamie's Hot Chocolate Mix, put it in little jars and give it to our friends. We did. And it's adorable.
2 tablespoons Horlicks (Any malt chocolate beverage)
2 tablespoons cornflour (We just used gluten free flour)
3 tablespoons icing sugar
4 tablespoons quality organic cocoa
100 g good-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids), finely grated
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch sea salt
This amount is for 2 pints of milk. Bring 'em to almost a boil on the stovetop then whisk in the mix!
We multiplied the recipe by 6 and it gave us five adorable little jars. It's super thick and dark and so yummy. Probably cost less than $20. It's probably not very good for you.
